Social Media Marketing Intern

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop engaging short- and long-form content for websites, blogs, social campaigns, email, and member-facing materials
- Assist with post creation, scheduling, monitoring engagement, and evaluating performance insights
- Analyze content performance using dashboards, tracked links, and engagement data to identify trends, inform strategy, and deliver insights on what drives meaningful member action
- Manage project tracking, documentation, and team systems while coordinating assets, timelines, and approvals across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
- Help coordinate and support RootsTech 2027
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or have been graduated for one year or less)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with content writing or digital content creation
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with FamilySearch tools and basic familiarity with temple and family history work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with technical or creative writing
- Demonstrates personal initiative, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic
