About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the business effort in managing the testing phases across all releases.
- Allocate test resources efficiently to various testing activities.
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and architecture teams to plan various tests, including system, user acceptance, and regression tests.
- Determine all testing tenant requirements and tools needed for effective testing.
- Oversee testers’ work throughout test plan development and execution to ensure testing meets or exceeds established goals and timelines.
- Work with the Solutions Manager, project management office analysts, and engineering managers to ensure the resolution and closure of defects during system implementation testing and user acceptance testing.
- Manage the development process to ensure proper defect tracking, including identification, fixing, re-testing, and migration of defects.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and defect management. Ensure that all testing activities adhere to quality standards and best practices.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on testing processes and tools.
- Identify opportunities for improving testing processes and implementing best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, preferably in a large-scale ERP implementation
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
- Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in testing tools and software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Certification in Software Testing or related fields.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems and best practices.
