About the role
- Analyze student employment outcomes, including job types, wages, employment tiers, time to employment, and progression over time.
- Develop and maintain standardized, repeatable metrics that provide a consistent view of outcomes across pathways, regions, and populations.
- Identify trends, gaps, and anomalies in outcomes data and surface areas requiring attention.
- Ensure leadership has timely access to accurate, trusted employment outcomes data.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to define metrics, align on data definitions, and support consistent interpretation.
- Conduct deeper quantitative analyses in response to leadership and program questions.
- Translate analysis into clear findings that inform strategy, program design, and resource allocation.
- Partner closely with Career Development leadership, program owners, and cross-functional teams.
- Present findings clearly to technical, operational, and executive audiences.
- Contribute to a culture of honest measurement, learning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in data science, statistics, business analytics, information systems, mathematics, economics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred in a related quantitative or analytical field.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, evaluation, or a related role.
- Experience working with employment, education, workforce, or program outcomes data preferred.
- Strong ability to analyze large datasets related to employment outcomes, wages, progression, and participation.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data.
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Power Query preferred.
- Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data platforms preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to ask good questions, test assumptions, and explore root causes.
- Comfort working with imperfect or evolving data and clearly communicating limitations.
- Ability to translate quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences using visuals, summaries, and structured analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and incorporate feedback into analyses.
- Strong judgment in handling sensitive student and employment data, including confidentiality and ethical use of information.
- Willingness to learn new tools, methods, and domains and adapt analytical approaches as priorities and data sources evolve.
