About the role

  • Create and manage products that reach a variety of audiences to further the mission of the Church
  • Understand unmet and customer/audience needs
  • Balance stakeholder requirements with customer needs
  • Establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of product requirements
  • Prioritize audiences/customers
  • Act as product ambassador: create, lead, and work with cross-functional teams (including service departments)
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle
  • Product launch and adoption for all targeted audiences
  • Develop core product communication, messaging, and positioning by audiences
  • Establish, monitor, and report product metrics
  • Manage inventory levels to meet supply/demand
  • Lead cross-functional teams, typically comprised of individual contributors
  • Oversee products with strategic influence and potential global impact
  • Manage multiple products or product lines
  • Typically manage total budget in the $1,000,000+ range
  • Manage products that require product integration within or across departments
  • Present and communicate to director's council, managing director, or area level for approvals
  • Limited vendor management: create RFPs, evaluate bids, and perform buy/build analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, marketing, communications, or related discipline
  • 5 years of related experience with demonstrated ability to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to define and create exceptional customer experiences with products
  • Excellent ability to build productive and effective relationships where conflicting objectives may exist
  • Physical requirements may include sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
  • Preferred: Master's degree
