About the role

  • Identify, document, and demonstrate the optimal user experience through design activities and deliverables aligned with business requirements and solution scope
  • Work with a variety of software development teams and collaborate with business and functional analysts
  • Provide leadership and strategy on discipline trends and consult with customers, stakeholders, and business partners to develop solutions
  • Plan and conduct larger and/or multiple projects and operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Evaluate design patterns and data, recommend strategies or major product direction changes, and lead user-testing and validation
  • Evaluate and provide work direction to a team of junior designers and encourage a culture of user-centered design and knowledge sharing
  • Lead communication visually through drawings, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, flow charts, etc., and build/maintain design components and libraries
  • Work with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years relevant professional UX experience
  • 6+ years with native mobile (iOS/Android) design as a core competency
  • Enterprise-level design experience building web sites and web applications
  • Experience building and maintaining design components and libraries
  • Advanced knowledge in applicable technical software, systems, and functions
  • Experience with accessibility standards and designing for global audiences highly advantageous
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Experience in UX disciplines in an agile team environment
  • Able to lead, motivate teams, and resolve challenges
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge and application of the Human Interface Guidelines (HIG - iOS) and Material Design (M2/3 - Android)
  • Expert in at least two of: Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Prototype Engineering
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
