About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer end-to-end processing for U.S. biweekly and monthly payroll cycles
- Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations for exempt and non-exempt employees, including union and non-union populations, garnishments, bonuses, and severance payments
- Analyze payroll data, research issues, and implement solutions for payroll errors and system issues
- Identify, define, and implement payroll process improvements and standards
- Maintain U.S. payroll records and files according to company policies and record-retention requirements
- Support internal and external information requests
- Develop, document, and continuously improve U.S. payroll procedures, guidelines, and SOPs
- Participate in payroll process reviews and audits for compliance with company policies and U.S. federal, state, and local laws
- Collaborate with Finance, Compensation, Benefits, Human Resources, and other business partners
- Support payroll compliance and control activities, including SOX testing and audits
- Process stock options, RSUs, DEUs, and other equity-related payroll transactions
- Participate in payroll system testing for upgrades, enhancements, patches, and implementations
- Review payroll audit and exception reports
- Participate in U.S. payroll year-end activities, including W-2 preparation, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting
- Support payroll tax, compliance, reporting, and reconciliation activities
