About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead application development projects within refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump markets
  • Support OEMs and customers with the qualification and implementation of next-generation refrigerants
  • Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for customers and industry stakeholders
  • Identify and develop technical projects that support business growth and market adoption
  • Analyze field trial and application data and provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop technical papers, case studies and conference presentations
  • Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitive activity to support business strategy
  • Support codes, standards and regulatory activities across Europe
  • Build relationships with universities, industry associations and standardization committees
  • Collaborate with Technical Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Sales, Regulatory and R&D teams globally
  • Report directly to the Regional Technical Manager EMEA
  • Help customers navigate the transition to next-generation refrigerants and accelerate sustainable cooling technology adoption

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience within refrigeration, HVAC, heat pumps or related thermal systems industries
  • Experience working with refrigerants, refrigeration systems, HVAC technologies or heat pumps
  • Experience engaging with customers, OEMs, consultants or other external industry stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Ability to independently manage projects and operate effectively in a matrix environment
  • Experience supporting application development, market development or technical business development initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with F-Gas and EN378 regulations and standards preferred
  • Experience developing technical publications, case studies or conference presentations preferred
  • Standards committee, advocacy or industry association experience preferred
  • Knowledge of fluoro chemistry or refrigerant chemistry preferred
