About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Proactively build and maintain a full events calendar targeting a minimum of two events per month.
  • Drive outreach and conversations with Regional Directors to identify topics, speakers, and dates.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to tailor events to local market needs.
  • Lead the events strategy, develop ideas and formats, and propose improvements to channel performance.
  • Own, plan, and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including thought leadership national webinars and face-to-face regional events.
  • Support the Partnerships Manager with partnership events.
  • Support company events, including internal conferences.
  • Build promotional plans and own end-to-end event promotion, including pre-event and post-event follow-up.
  • Manage venues, suppliers, logistics, delegates, and post-event reporting.
  • Work with content and digital teams to promote events and maximise attendance.
  • Track KPIs including attendance, engagement, lead quality, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors, Divisional Directors, Telesales, HubSpot teams, and other business teams to align events with commercial goals.
  • Support the Marketing Lead with campaign alignment and additional tasks as required.
  • Ensure events reflect The CFO Centre’s premium brand and values.
  • Own and manage the annual events budget.
  • Occasionally travel within the UK to support events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B event management, ideally in professional services or financial services.
  • Understanding of lead generation, marketing, and sales enablement through events.
  • Proven record of designing and delivering events that generate measurable leads or pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience directly promoting events across channels or working with relevant teams, such as email, social, paid, and partner channels.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Confident using event platforms such as Zoom and Eventbrite.
  • Previous experience using HubSpot for events.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel within the UK to support events.
