About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide daily hands-on leadership and support for the Liberation Program
Collaborate with Director to develop program plans and budgets
Lead staff in the fulfillment of program objectives
Proactively identify program challenges and facilitate resolutions
Provide coaching, guidance, and daily programmatic support to Liberation staff members
Monitor staff performance and provide tailored development plans

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of youth development and organizing experience
4+ years of managing people
Comprehensive knowledge of local and national issues related to education justice, decarceration, criminal justice reform, drug policy reform, and/or immigration reform
Deep-rooted knowledge of African Diasporic and Latinx socio-political history, culture, and social movements
Experience in and/or knowledge of social work and counseling practices within the Department of Education
Bilingual/Multilingual is a plus
College degree in related areas is a plus
Licensed driver is a plus
