About the role
- Develop and implement category management and strategic sourcing strategies
- Establish and execute best sourcing practices and manage suppliers’ strategic and operational relationships
- Partner with internal stakeholders and extended sourcing team to implement innovation projects
- Drive efficiencies, deliver supplier quality improvements, and reduce risks while improving costs for assigned procurement categories
- Communicate and ensure compliance of BBC’s Sourcing Governance
- Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives
- Support process, system, and policy improvements
- Actively participate in recurring business stakeholder meetings
- Develop and document procurement processes
- Create and manage Purchase Orders
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier and category management, and risk management
- Food & Beverage raw materials expertise, including sourcing flavors and ingredients
- Strong digital and analytical capability, leveraging technology for collaboration, data analysis, visualization, and insight generation (e.g., spend analysis, market intelligence)
- Negotiation and contract management expertise, including supplier performance monitoring, SLA compliance, and relationship management
- Project and program management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from initiation through completion while managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Business, financial, and legal acumen, applying sound judgment to deliver value and manage risk
- Strategic and critical thinking, proactively identifying obstacles, solving problems independently, and challenging the status quo through continuous improvement
- Risk management experience, from identification through monitoring and reporting
- Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence, present, and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Stakeholder and supplier relationship management, emphasizing trust, collaboration, and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau or Power BI
- Value driven mindset, consistently meeting commitments, deadlines, and milestones
- Design thinking orientation, applying lean, agile, and human centered approaches to develop practical, strategic solutions
