About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients
  • Interpret complex plan performance data and advise on plan design and coverage strategy
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Lead multi-year renewal strategies, including benefit options, benchmarking, claims experience, contribution modeling, and plan design alternatives
  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly Business Review insights, trend analysis, dashboards, and strategic recommendations
  • Review, refine, and approve employee-facing communications, including Benefit Guides
  • Manage client compliance calendars and required notices, filings, and plan documentation
  • Partner with Client Success Specialists, Advisors, and third-party partners to clarify data needs and troubleshoot issues
  • Resolve escalated enrollment discrepancies, eligibility questions, coverage issues, billing issues, claim disputes, and endorsement requests
  • Coordinate deliverables across internal teams for renewals, onboarding, audits, and major client events
  • Mentor colleagues and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery
  • Collaborate with Client Executives, Advisors, carriers, and internal support colleagues to deliver exceptional client service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, finance, or a related field
  • Current state Life & Health license required
  • 4–6+ years of employee benefits and account management experience
  • Expertise in client service, plan administration, and strategic benefits consulting
  • Advanced understanding of employee benefits processes, market dynamics, exposure analysis, funding arrangements, and renewal lifecycles
  • Experience managing mid- to high-complexity accounts
  • Strong ability to analyze complex benefits data and deliver data-driven recommendations
  • Ability to resolve escalated or highly complex client issues and anticipate downstream impacts
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing renewal documents, enrollment files, and communication materials
  • Ability to manage multiple complex timelines, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and executive presentation skills
  • High proficiency in Agency Management Systems such as Brokerage Builder, Microsoft Excel, AI-enabled tools, and digital workflow platforms
  • Professional designations strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating with offshore teams, shared service centers, or third-party partners preferred
