About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire and retain large, complex commercial insurance clients through risk, risk mitigation, and insurance architecture expertise
- Develop trusted partnerships with insurance company partners and broker representatives
- Lead internal discussions on client renewals, including coverage comparisons, pricing comparisons, historical loss experience, and projected loss picks
- Prepare complex marketplace submissions, including loss picks, deductible stratification, endorsement requests, and exposure information
- Coordinate Account Management, Risk Mitigation, Claims Consulting, and Risk Analysts teams to exceed client service standards and deliverables
- Assess final audits for accuracy between client and insurance company partner audit teams
- Build trusting relationships with clients, insurance partners, brokers, advisors, partners, and leaders
- Share insurance expertise with advisors, account managers, and colleagues to advise, develop, and train
- Evaluate and educate clients on missing or newly available coverage options
Requirements
What you’ll need- Obtain and maintain required state insurance license(s), or obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment
- Minimum seven years of commercial insurance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and existing insurance coverages and communicate recommendations through risk mapping
- Exceptional technical knowledge of insurance coverage, contracts, insurance market conditions, and carrier underwriting appetites
- Experience reviewing, placing, and negotiating loss-sensitive casualty and workers compensation placements, including captive structure, preferred
- Preferred industry specialization in areas such as Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Wholesale Trade, Transportation, Retail Trade, Real Estate, or Services
- Sound judgment and decision-making based on objective analysis and multiple perspectives
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Working knowledge of Sagitta preferred
- CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM designations preferred
- Demonstrated behavior aligned with the organization’s core values and corporate culture
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to travel at times
