About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the tactical and operational design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of assigned large client benefit plans
- Manage policy activity and stewardship for the assigned book of business
- Analyze and report claims data, identify trends, and compare client data with industry benchmarks
- Ensure client benefits compliance and advise clients on ACA and future government changes
- Maintain knowledge of government regulations and ensure compliance with FMLA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA, and other applicable laws
- Fulfill reporting and compliance requirements
- Manage large accounts independently
- Review accounts for additional insurance lines and renewal changes
- Cultivate relationships with insurance company partners
- Manage changing priorities and complete special projects
- Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate issues and discrepancies to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Obtain and maintain state insurance license(s), or be willing and able to obtain required licenses within the first 90 days
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related concentration is preferred
- CEBS, SPHR, or PHR certification is preferred
- Minimum five years of insurance and/or benefits-related experience, including leading an account management team
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to learn insurance company and firm software systems
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to produce clear and effective communication for audiences
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated alignment with the firm’s core values and culture
- Willingness to travel as required
