About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop professional working relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel to maintain accounts
- Assess client needs, design solutions, and negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain appropriate coverage plans
- Market client business to various insurance carriers, including new and renewal business
- Identify appropriate carriers, submit applications for quotes, negotiate terms and conditions, and prepare Insurance Proposals
- Stay current on industry news, products, and technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 10 years’ work-related experience
- Prefer some experience in an agency environment
- Active state insurance license required
- Professional designations a plus such as, ARM, CPCU, CRM or CIC
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
