About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage company-provided leads while identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive business growth.
- Generate referrals and cultivate long-term client relationships through centers of influence and strategic referral partnerships.
- Present insurance proposals in a professional and consultative manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure client understanding and confidence in recommended solutions.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and internal service team members through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Finalizes sales by collecting required documentation, applications, and signatures while ensuring a seamless transition to the service team.
- Builds trust quickly with prospective clients by identifying needs, overcoming objections, and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Maintains strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management to maximize conversion opportunities and client retention.
- Prepares recommendations and coverage solutions for prospective accounts while adhering to agency policies and carrier underwriting guidelines.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in all client and carrier interactions to minimize errors and omissions exposure.
- Maintains current knowledge of insurance products, industry trends, and underwriting guidelines for carrier partners represented by the firm.
- Represents the firm professionally within the community and in all interactions with clients and insurance company partners.
- Identifies opportunities to improve workflow, processes, and overall business performance while contributing positively to team culture.
- Meets or exceeds monthly new business production goals and performance expectations.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Property & Casualty License required.
- Minimum of 2 years of personal lines insurance experience required.
- Proven sales background with a track record of meeting or exceeding production goals.
- Strong phone sales and relationship-building skills with the ability to confidently lead conversations and close business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of personalities.
- Comfortable handling high call volume, follow-up activity, and pipeline management in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency with CRM systems, agency management platforms, email, and virtual communication tools.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, competitive, coachable, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
