About the role

  • Develop professional working relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel
  • Responsible for assessing client needs, designing solutions, and negotiating with insurance carriers
  • Market client business to a variety of insurance carriers, new and renewal business
  • Identify appropriate carriers, submit applications for quotes, negotiate favorable rates including terms & conditions
  • Stay current on industry news, products, coverage, and technology
  • Attend company meetings, educational workshops, and networking events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 10 years’ work-related experience
  • Prefer some experience in an agency environment
  • Active state insurance license required
  • Professional designations a plus such as, ARM, CPCU, CRM or CIC.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
