About the role
- Develop professional working relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel
- Responsible for assessing client needs, designing solutions, and negotiating with insurance carriers
- Market client business to a variety of insurance carriers, new and renewal business
- Identify appropriate carriers, submit applications for quotes, negotiate favorable rates including terms & conditions
- Stay current on industry news, products, coverage, and technology
- Attend company meetings, educational workshops, and networking events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 10 years’ work-related experience
- Prefer some experience in an agency environment
- Active state insurance license required
- Professional designations a plus such as, ARM, CPCU, CRM or CIC.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
