About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist and/or set client-specific casualty program strategy and execute on that strategy
  • Review and advise on client risk and insurance programs, technical questions, and contract review
  • Develop and maintain market relationships for new and renewal business
  • Tailor programs for difficult-to-place risks and insurance programs
  • Evaluate marketplace capabilities and select potential markets for submissions
  • Prepare submissions and gather additional information
  • Negotiate pricing, collateral, policy terms and conditions, and prepare proposals
  • Coordinate client and insurance company partner meetings
  • Solicit renewal information
  • Resolve client relationship, payment, claims, and E&O issues
  • Collaborate with analytics on loss projections, collateral analysis, and program structure
  • Collaborate with production on RFPs and prospective business presentations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years in a Casualty Broker role required
  • State specific license is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Specific broking experience with complex casualty risks
  • Strong understanding of actuarial loss projections and collateral analysis
  • Travel as needed
