Requirements

  • Experience working with data and statistics and an understanding of the communication of causality, uncertainty and statistical forecasting.
  • Experience conceiving, prototyping and deploying interactive projects of all sizes, from engineering foundations to frontend details.
  • A creative approach to the news and sports, with an eye for finding novel angles and data sets in odd places.
  • A track record of close collaboration with other journalists and technologists.
  • Demonstrated excellence in publishing data visualizations for mass audiences.
  • Experience working within design tools like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • This is a remote-based role with candidates willing to work regularly from our New York City office preferred.
