About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees the operations of all assigned services.
Improves services and assures measured outcomes throughout the assigned services.
Follows and implements written procedures and systems relating to guidelines, practices, procedures, and policies of The Arc.
Provides supervision and guidance to assigned staff.
Evaluates staffing in assigned locations to assure that needs of the people receiving the services are met.
Maintains cooperative professional relationships with all support team members.
Ensures that all assigned staff meet agency requirements for training.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Possesses a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Three years of progressively responsible experience
Supervisory experience
Knowledge & understanding DDA, National, State and local issues relating to intellectual and cognitive disabilities.
Proficiency in computer-based software, e.g. Excel, Word and additional databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good command of the English language both oral and written
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Valid driving license with a good driving record for transporting people receiving services
Ability to pass the criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland.
