About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support for computer, network, and security infrastructure used internally and externally
  • Recognize and resolve endpoint, network, wireless, firewall, and related infrastructure problems as they occur
  • Support internal and (if needed) external customers
  • Build, support, and document secure and reliable infrastructure environments for the ABA's information systems
  • Monitor key systems and respond to issues and alerts
  • Support key infrastructure and security projects as a member of the infrastructure team
  • Provide project leadership
  • Provide mentorship to system engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Baccalaureate degree or comparable work experience is required
  • 8 years’ experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including network, endpoint, server, and security systems
  • Strong familiarity with a range of computer, networking, wireless, security, and infrastructure technologies
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, endpoints, and related infrastructure hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure requirements and standards, including switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network segmentation
  • Working knowledge of Cisco switching technologies and common network troubleshooting practices
  • Working knowledge of firewall technologies, preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet, including rule management, VPN, logging, and policy review
  • Working knowledge of Aruba wireless access points and enterprise wireless support concepts
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, storage, and server technologies sufficient to support infrastructure operations
  • Working knowledge of information security systems, applications, procedures, and best practices, including access controls, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and incident response support
  • Ability to create high-quality network, security, and systems documentation and keep it up to date.
