About the role
- Independently create, apply and interpret advanced statistical and machine learning approaches to solve a variety of business research problems through research projects
- Serve as data and modeling subject matter expert – advise on data preparation, enrichment, model architecture, integration, etc.
- Understand go-to-market research problems and context in detail and design solutions in alignment with project objectives and in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Communicate project findings, conclusions and recommendations to your peers
- Participate in and lead portions of key stakeholder meetings (internal and client-facing) to review and present analytical approaches and modeling results, answer questions and discuss feedback
- Contribute to general project needs and deliverables such as status updates, meeting content and research report materials
- Help standardize/consolidate modeling approaches to support optimization of research project delivery
- Support the Advanced Analytics practice development and participate in team meetings (e.g., new research methodology, content curation, trainings, etc.)
- Manage development and career progression of Advanced Analytics team members, including job design, promotion track, and informal and formal feedback
Requirements
- Full authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship requirements (TN visa accepted)
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, economics, statistics, data science, or computer science
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2+ years managing direct reports
- Demonstrated applied experience building advanced statistical and predictive models in a business or consulting environment
- Strong working knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques for regression and classification problems
- Proficiency in open-source data science programming languages, with Python required and R preferred
- Experience using data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to execute responsibilities with a high degree of independence and sound professional judgment
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable presenting complex analytical findings to senior and executive audiences, including strong executive-level storytelling capabilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of motivation, adaptability, creativity, and resourcefulness, with the ability to learn quickly
- Positive attitude and demonstrated willingness to learn from mentors and peers
- Ability to travel infrequently for in-person meetings, as needed
