About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure, from ingestion through transformation and analytics.
- Develop, test, and optimize data models and data warehouse architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, testing, and strong documentation practices.
- Implement and uphold data governance standards, including data dictionaries, lineage, access controls, and clear ownership of business logic.
- Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools that help teams understand performance and make data-informed decisions.
- Support occasional ad hoc and exploratory data analysis to help answer business questions and identify trends.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, reporting logic, and key data definitions.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer and cross-functional partners to execute on defined workstreams within an established data framework.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of experience in the data space as a senior data analyst, data analyst, analytics engineer, data engineer, or equivalent role.
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Able to commute to the Dedham, MA office 3 days per week.
- Proficiency in SQL and dbt for data transformation, automation, and modeling.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data stack technologies such as Git, dbt, Stitch, cloud data warehouses, or similar tools.
- Strong background in data quality assurance, governance frameworks, and best practices for documentation.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Looker, Omni, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently on assigned workstreams while collaborating closely with a senior team member.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
