About the role
- Administer, monitor, and support enterprise and production network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot incidents across LAN/WAN, data center, and AWS (VPC) environments
- Maintain high availability and performance for mission-critical systems supporting global platforms
- Configure and troubleshoot routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP)
- Support network hardware and security appliances, including Cisco and Juniper devices
- Assist with firewall configuration and VPN connectivity (IPSec, SSL-VPN)
- Support load balancing technologies such as F5 Big-IP (LTM/GTM)
- Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Observium, Cacti, SNMP, and Syslog
- Participate in on-call rotation and resolve high-priority production incidents
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Partner with engineering teams on network upgrades, improvements, and automation initiatives
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of experience in network administration or network operations
- Strong experience with Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASA) and/or Juniper (SRX, M-series)
- Strong knowledge of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Hands-on routing and switching experience in enterprise environments
- Working knowledge of firewalls and network security fundamentals
- Experience supporting production environments with high uptime requirements
- Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools and operational best practices
- Experience with AWS networking (VPC, routing, security groups, peering)
- Exposure to load balancing (F5, Riverbed Zeus)
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible) is a plus
