Business Operations

• Define the vision and strategy for EPC Business Operations and align with AES Clean Energy’s growth and execution objectives.
• Attract, retain, and develop world-class talent across scheduling, estimating, and labor compliance; establish staffing needs, clear roles, and processes.
• Lead all estimating efforts, including conceptual and detailed estimates, constructability reviews, value engineering, bidding, and risk evaluation/mitigation.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project database with WBS structures, cost benchmarks, scope libraries, schedules, execution plans, and lessons learned.
• Analyze and evaluate proposals from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers; calibrate estimating tools based on market feedback; track scope changes.
• Implement advanced estimating systems, including AI/ML-enabled tools, to continuously improve accuracy and speed.
• Direct and mentor the Scheduling team; oversee timeline risk identification and mitigation, proactive intervention, and scenario planning.
• Partner with project managers and subject matter experts to resolve scheduling constraints and integrate cost metrics into schedules.
• Provide leadership to the Labor Compliance function to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal labor regulations; partner with Legal, Tax, EPC Strategy, and Project Management.
• Champion automated and scalable business operations systems and collaborate with AES’s global Digital team to leverage AI/ML strategies and emerging technologies.
• Serve as a liaison across Development, Project Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Project Management, O&M, and Digital to drive consistency and efficiency across project phases.
• Report to the Vice President of EPC Business Operations and support delivery of projects efficiently, on time, and in full regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Director, EPC Business Operations

Engineer

• Design and engineering of utility scale solar PV and energy storage projects in early and mid-stage development
• Design development and reviews, energy models, equipment specifications, and design calculations to support EPC pricing estimates, RFP submittals, permitting applications, design drafting, and due diligence on greenfield and M&A project sites
• Use PVsyst, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, MS Office, SharePoint
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, review design packages, and ensure technical accuracy
• Support development of up to 30% design packages and prepare interconnection applications
• Perform full technical due diligence and risk assessment for M&A projects
• Support EPC pricing, procurement validation, and interface with execution teams
• Evaluate emerging technologies, drive design optimizations, and support continuous improvement of engineering tools and workflows

Development Engineer

Analyst

The Operations Technology “O.T.” Lead Analyst position directly supports all the AES Clean Energy networks, firewalls, switches, and related network equipment . The position is responsible for e nsuring compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and AES Global Standards. The O.T. Lead Analyst serves as a key point of contact and technical expert supporting the AES Clean Energy Assets. They will manage p roject n etwork documentation, and remediation activities and communicate compliance results to OT Management Team. This position is a NERC-regulated position. As such, a background check in the form of a Transport Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) is required for this position. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of routers, firewalls , business-to-business tunnels, and switches. In addition, a strong working knowledge of secure networking concepts is required . An understanding of the NERC CIP Standards is a definite plus. This position requires excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to perform duties effectively under emergency situations. Primary duties and responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of network implementations. Implement standards and operating procedures. Maintain accurate change management documentation for all hardware and software modifications. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of all supported security devices to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements. Actively manage our ticketing system to update firewall rules, and troubleshoot connectivity and other networking issues. Perform all required operational maintenance and troubleshooting of supported network assets. Participate in disaster recovery, exercises, and events. Evaluate and test software updates supplied by vendors, before installation. Work with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve any problems. Participate in budgeting and purchasing processes Other duties as assigned** Up to 25% travel may be required at times to learn and support on-site operations. On-call work will be required on a rotating basis to support 24/7 operations. ​
