About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • oversee a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Associate Project Managers for the execution of utility-scale wind power construction projects
  • provide team leadership, process improvements, stakeholder management, strategic planning
  • grow a high functioning team necessary to safely and reliably execute renewable energy projects
  • lead a team of Project Managers and third-party contractor resources to execute the construction of wind power projects and related substations
  • drive collaboration between Wind Execution, Engineering, Development and other internal stakeholders
  • ensure the company’s portfolio of projects are executed on time and within budget
  • provide executive reporting on project portfolio statuses including budget, schedule, resource utilization, and risk assessments
  • optimize and maintain a qualified list of EPC contractors for utility scale project execution
  • oversee contract execution for construction management, EPC, and OEM
  • advocate for and oversee the continuous implementation and improvement of procedures, standards, and processes for project planning and execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10-15 years of renewable energy generation construction experience
  • at least 5 years of wind construction experience
  • 2-5 years of people/team management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Experience in utility-scale wind construction oversight
  • HV construction oversight
  • energization/commissioning coordination
  • ability to evaluate and negotiate EPC/TSA and other relevant contractual agreements
  • experience with wind PPAs, EPCAs, and TSAs strongly preferred
  • ability to build strong, effective internal and external relationships
  • outstanding interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational, project, planning & time management skills
  • ability to establish and manage construction key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • strong computer and analytical skills, proficient with MS Office suite, Quickbase/PTRACK, Box, Procore, SAP, and MS Teams
  • willingness to travel up to 40%
  • PMI® PMP Certification a plus.
