Operational Technology Engineer
The AES Corporation. Design, implement, and maintain Distribution Management System (DMS), SCADA, Outage Management System (OMS), and related operational technology (OT) platforms .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain Distribution Management System (DMS), SCADA, Outage Management System (OMS), and related operational technology (OT) platforms
- Configure, install, operate, and maintain mission-critical OT systems
- Develop and maintain data models that support advanced ADMS power system applications
- Configure and support advanced applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Control (VVC)
- Integrate Geographic Information System (GIS) data into the ADMS
- Provide cross-functional support for multiple OT applications
- Support 24x7 operations for systems used by T&D field, engineering, planning, reporting, and dispatch teams
- Partner with users to apply technology that improves business processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution
- Experience designing and implementing real-time T&D control systems
- Strong technical understanding of hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
