About the role
- Advancing our software solutions for modeling and simulation applications
- Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability
- Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work
- Work closely with our cross-mission focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.
- Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.
- Travel occasionally as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field
- Two or more years of experience in modern software development using a systems software language
- Proficiency in C++, preferably in C++20
- Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C++
- Experience with Python
- Experience in modeling and simulation
- Experience in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-in tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative
- U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
