About the role
- You will be part of the Design Studio team, bringing together different design disciplines (strategy, service, process, product, UX, UI, ergonomics).
- You will work on projects related to land and airborne systems, primarily conducting competitive benchmarking, researching and understanding needs, and proposing operational solutions.
- Identify needs and conduct in-depth studies to understand user expectations and behaviors in order to inform strategic decisions.
- Design products and services aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
- Assess the impact of user experiences to inform product development strategies.
- Contribute to the maturation and industrialization of design within Thales to ensure effective and scalable implementation.
Requirements
- You are a student in Design, Strategy, Innovation, UX, or Product/Service and are seeking a 2-year work-study/apprenticeship as part of a Master's (Bac+5) program.
- You are proficient in qualitative and quantitative research techniques (interviews, shadowing, surveys, usability testing, etc.) and in data analysis to generate insights that guide strategy and decision-making.
- You understand the key stages of design thinking (problem definition, ideation, rapid prototyping, testing) to solve complex challenges in innovative ways.
- You are skilled in at least one prototyping technique (sketching, design software, data visualization, 3D, etc.) to visually represent concepts that facilitate decision-making.
- You are familiar with fundamental principles of business strategy, business models, product management, and innovation to align design solutions with commercial objectives and market opportunities.
- You are familiar with emerging technologies (AI, augmented/virtual reality, IoT) to anticipate and integrate relevant innovations into your projects.
- You are proficient with visual design and prototyping tools (such as Figma) to create clear and compelling visualizations.
- You know how to prepare and facilitate collaborative workshops, fostering exchange and synthesizing outcomes to guide concrete actions.
- You demonstrate curiosity and open-mindedness to learn and explore new perspectives, technologies, and methods.
- You can adapt to change, feedback, and evolving requirements in dynamic environments.
