About the role

  • Design and validation of RF functions for satellite communication systems (SATCOM).
  • Analyze system requirements and write detailed technical specifications for RF boards and subassemblies.
  • Contribute to the definition of transmitter/receiver architectures and select critical components (oscillators, mixers, filters, etc.).
  • Perform link budget and chain analyses (calculations/simulations) to ensure performance: Gain, NF, IP3, rejection and phase noise.
  • Design critical functions such as frequency synthesizers (PLL), amplification stages and filtering.
  • Create schematic capture and manage PCB placement/routing while enforcing RF-specific constraints.
  • Carry out testing and debugging of prototype boards in the lab.
  • Ensure design compliance with aeronautical standards DO-254 and DO-160.

Requirements

  • Degree: Engineering degree in electronics with a specialization in Radio Frequency / Microwave engineering.
  • Several years of experience in RF design, ideally applied to telecommunications.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is a major asset.
  • Strong knowledge of design constraints related to L- and S-bands (experience with Ka-band is a plus).
  • Proficiency with simulation tools: Keysight ADS or AWR Microwave Office, and tools such as LTSpice, ADIsimPLL and other domain-specific tools.
  • Advanced use of VNAs, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Expertise in PLL design and integration of low phase-noise VTCXO references.
  • Ability to manage environmental constraints and their impact on RF performance.
  • Ability to design mixed RF/Digital PCBs, including handling communication buses (SPI, I2C) and configuring RF component registers.
  • Proficiency in digital modulation schemes and understanding of hardware impact on the signal (distortion, EVM, BER, etc.).
  • Ability to work closely with other disciplines: mechanical (thermal/enclosure integration), digital engineers, FPGA and software teams.
  • English: fluent level required (international context, technical documentation writing).
Benefits
  • Company committed to disability inclusion
