About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product design end-to-end — from definition through handoff to engineering
- Build the design system from scratch
- Design interfaces for complex financial workflows: invoice processing, bank reconciliation, period-end close management
- Work alongside the engineering team during implementation and ensure design fidelity in production
- Participate in client conversations to validate design decisions with real users
- Contribute to the visual direction of the product as it evolves toward a more conversational AI model
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of product design experience
- Portfolio that demonstrates visual judgment and product thinking — not just polished screens, but design decisions grounded in business context
- Experience with SaaS or fintech products with high information density interfaces
- Ability to operate as the sole designer in a small team with no prior structure
- Figma proficiency
- Fluent conversational English
- Startup experience or genuine appetite for that pace
- Use of AI tools in your workflow is a plus
