About the role

  • Operation and further development of our central Linux server landscape (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS): including monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Technical operations: integration of our ERP systems on Linux (e.g. abas ERP) in cooperation with the business departments.
  • Building and maintaining the Linux VM infrastructure within our OpenShift platform: contributing as Product Owner for this area.
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring CI/CD and GitOps pipelines for Linux and container services (e.g. Argo CD).
  • Standardization and automation of provisioning and configuration (e.g. Ansible).
  • Implementation of a structured patch management process: RHEL Satellite.
  • Participation in security and compliance topics: e.g. hardening, vulnerability management, audits together with our IT security team.

Requirements

  • Completed IT training or degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 2–5 years of professional experience in Linux system administration and operating production environments
  • Practical experience with containers and provisioning Linux VMs in OpenShift or comparable platforms (Kubernetes, OKD)
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Argo CD)
  • Ideally, experience operating ERP systems on Linux or similar business applications
  • Interest in helping shape operational standards
  • A structured working style, clear team communication and a willingness to take on responsibility
