About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform full-cycle game localization and translation from Simplified Chinese to English
Localize in-game UI, storylines, character dialogue, and marketing copy
Conduct linguistic LQA
Polish narratives and adapt content cross-culturally
Participate in creative brainstorming with game teams
Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during core business hours
Complete information verification, NDA signing, qualification sample testing, and onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on game localization experience
Native or near-native English proficiency
Simplified Chinese to English translation expertise
Minimum one of: degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies with significant translation training; 2+ years of translation experience plus a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
Gaming translation and localization experience, including gaming genres, partial client lists, and estimated word count
Availability for core business hours
Ability to complete a short unpaid qualification assessment test
Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
Ability to complete a translation test
Gaming experience, preferably including mobile games
