About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation across multiple entities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for complex ownership structures
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee day-to-day accounting operations
- Coordinate banking relationships, financing activities, and lender communications
- Support investment analysis and financial decision-making across various business entities
- Partner directly with ownership on strategic financial initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage automation, and drive operational efficiencies
- Operate as the internal accounting and tax expert within a fast-moving organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active CPA license required - CA, TX preferred
- Proven experience preparing and filing business and individual tax returns
- Strong bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience supporting multiple entities, holding companies, or complex ownership structures
- Exposure to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private investments, or closely held businesses
- Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements, lending, banking, and investment transactions
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter who is organized, proactive, and thrives with autonomy
- Someone who is polished, sharp, scrappy, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
