About the role
- Your primary role will involve designing, constructing, and optimizing our data pipelines to support various data workflows
- You will work with both structured and unstructured data, ensuring high data quality and availability for complex analysis by data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- You have expertise in data warehousing solutions, and you're comfortable with technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or Snowflake
- You're proficient in ELT processes and tools like dbt
- You have experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
- You can write SQL queries in your sleep and have experience with programming languages like Python
- You’re familiar with real-time analytics and can work seamlessly with data streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis
- Data security is second nature to you, and you understand best practices around encryption and secure data transfer
- You're highly analytical and are comfortable working closely with data scientists to make data actionable
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering
- Proven track record of building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures
- Demonstrable experience in big data technologies and data warehousing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
