About the role
- Supervises assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA and other Manuals, and applicable regulations
- Monitors personal appearance, dress code, and conduct of all assigned personnel
- Maintains a current read and file of all Solairus Aviation memorandums
- Coordinates, schedules and reviews crew and maintenance personnel training with appropriate contractors
- Coordinates maintenance test, training and other flights not initiated by client's normal scheduling system
- Develops scheduling procedures with clients to promote reliable, efficient scheduling of aircraft
- Approves and schedules PTO for assigned personnel through the flight coordinator
- Updates the assigned flight coordinator regarding aircraft schedule changes and crew matters
- Conducts meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions, and promote goodwill
- Approves expense accounts for assigned personnel
- Participates in the interview process for assigned personnel
- Solicits Client Responsible Officer input/approval for substantive operational, personnel, and administrative issues
- Notifies Client Responsible Officer of anticipated pilot relief needs
- Submits written reports as required by the Operations Manuals with copies to the Client Responsible Officer
- Revises manuals and publications assigned to aircraft
- Maintains Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Record for each crewmember per Solairus FOM
- Ensures timely submission of training records, medicals, and other operations data to flight operations
- Promotes customer goodwill, company image, and reputation
- Actively participates in Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and initiatives
Requirements
- Total time = 3000 hours
- PIC = 1500 hours
- MEL = 1500 hours
- MEL PIC = 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet = 500 hours
- Instrument Time = 250 hours
- Management background with a demonstrated track record of exceptional leadership skill
- NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training preferred
- Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel
- Budget development and management experience
- College degree and/or advanced (non-flight) training
- Typed on Gulfstream G650
- First class medical required
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis
- Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
- Must be located or willing to relocate within 2 hours of KBED.
