About the role
- Supervise assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA and other Manuals and applicable regulations
- Monitor personal appearance, dress code, and conduct of assigned personnel
- Maintain a current read and file of all Solairus Aviation memorandums
- Coordinate, schedule and review crew and maintenance personnel training with training contractors
- Coordinate maintenance test, training and other flights not initiated by client's normal scheduling system
- Develop scheduling procedures with clients to promote reliable, efficient scheduling of aircraft
- Approve and schedule Personal Time Off (PTO) for assigned personnel through the flight coordinator
- Update flight coordinator regarding aircraft schedule changes and other matters affecting scheduling of aircraft and crews
- Conduct meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions and promote goodwill
- Approve expense accounts for assigned personnel and participate in hiring interviews
- Solicit Client Responsible Officer input/approval for substantive operational, personnel, and administrative issues
- Submit written reports as required by Operations Manuals and revise manuals/publications assigned to aircraft
- Maintain Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Record on each crewmember and ensure timely submission of training records, medicals, and operations data
- Promote customer goodwill and the business reputation of Solairus Aviation
- Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and initiatives
Requirements
- Total time = 3000 hours
- PIC = 1500 hours
- MEL = 1500 hours
- MEL PIC = 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet = 500 hours
- Instrument Time = 250 hours
- Management background with a demonstrated track record of exceptional leadership skill
- NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training preferred
- Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel
- Budget development and management experience
- College degree and/or advanced (non-flight) training
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Track record of working in environments implementing and extending industry best practices
- Typed on Global 6500
- First class medical required
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis
- Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
- Must be located or willing to relocate within 2 hours of KAPA (Englewood, CO)
