About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain provider contracts in alignment with organizational policies and financial guidelines.
  • Manage provider relationships, ensuring contract terms are met and resolving service issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, Operations, Medical Management) to support contract implementation and network integrity.
  • Analyze financial, operational, and utilization data to assess contract performance and support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely contract submissions, amendments, and renewals.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of plan products, policies, and market trends to guide provider engagement and contracting strategies.
  • Support corporate initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of projects and goals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 2 years for an intermediate level or 4 years for a senior level candidate with experience in managed care contracting and negotiating experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in developing, managing and nurturing key provider relationships.
  • Knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies, including incentive-based models preferred.
  • An understanding and experience with managed care, and provider business models.
  • A collaborative approach with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within a fast-paced organization.
  • Customer centric and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrates an ability to maneuver effectively in a changing environment.
  • Adept in Practiced problem solving, decision-making, negotiating, contract language and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
