About the role
- Responsible for coordinating technical assistance and training in support of the Water Extension Program.
- Conduct on-site assessments and analysis of utility management and operations based on industry best practices and federal and state statutes.
- Assist W/WW utilities with troubleshooting/resolving identified issues.
- Conduct training in various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a specified program.
- Respond to emergencies as part of the Public Works Response Team (PWRT).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of experience in the management, operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
- Currently hold at least a Texas Class "B" Water or Wastewater license (or higher) with the ability to obtain the other Class “B” license within one year of hire date.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 level courses within 90 days of hire date.
- Completion of ICS 300 and 400 level courses within 6 months of hire date.
- TCEQ Sponsor Requirements (Must obtain within one year of hire date).
- One year of experience in training adults, and 60 hours of classroom instructional experience OR Completion of approved Instructor training courses in: 1. Methods of Teaching OR Effective Instructional Techniques AND 2. Instructional Design and Evaluation OR Organizational and Use of Training Materials.
