About the role

  • Regional Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead for Field Medical Affairs
  • Responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to field medical teams across international markets.
  • Develops and implements regional MSL strategies aligned with global objectives, ensuring effective resource allocation to maximize scientific impact.
  • Leads CoE initiatives, including KPI management, systems support, digital innovation, training programs, multichannel medical communication, and scientific interactions.
  • Ensures alignment with regional strategies and global best practices (EU/US).
  • Creates tactical plans and educational resources for medical engagement, scientific dissemination, and strategic partnerships.
  • Oversees recruitment, onboarding, and development of medical teams, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates globally and cross-functionally to identify key assets and unmet medical needs.
  • Evaluates programs and assets to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Maintains relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and patient advocacy groups, fostering scientific exchange and education to reinforce clinical relevance.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD), medicine (MD), pharmacy (PharmD) or a related field.
  • A sound understanding of clinical practice and patient care is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare management, including clinical experience.
  • At least 3–5 years in Medical Affairs with people management and/or leadership experience in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in field medical roles (e.g., MSL) and learning development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and budget management within Medical Affairs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a global matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to build and lead medical hubs above the country level and align globally, with a focus on operational excellence and scientific leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing international teams and working across diverse cultures.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
