About the role

  • Works under general supervision by providing technical expertise in an area of technology
  • Performs analysis, evaluation, design, coding and testing, installation, maintenance, support, and training
  • Develops test plans, test procedures, and test scripts based on system and software requirements
  • Performs both positive and negative software testing using test scripts and guidance of the company validation program
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements
  • Operates independently in developing strategies for software quality assurance process improvement
  • Requires flexibility to adapt to new technologies and strict project deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience validating software in high compliance industries
  • Previous experience in testing the PTC Windchill application
  • Strong experience with GMP/IEEE/ISO 9000 standards for software quality assurance
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail in software testing and documentation practices
  • Capability to implement a process discipline and maintain departmental productivity
  • Intermediate knowledge of software release engineering and configuration management
  • Knowledge and skilled use of relevant PC software applications, including HP ALM and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
