About the role

  • Support all plant-related GAAP, SOX, and Terumo policy requirements to ensure accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)
  • Assist in preparation and review of monthly financial results, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
  • Partner with the Plant Controller to lead month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly operational metrics, highlighting key trends and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to quarterly forecast and annual budget cycles for the Littleton and Lakewood facilities
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing cost performance, inventory valuation, and capital spending
  • Support internal and external audit requests and ensure adherence to internal control standards
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant and operations leadership teams
  • Assist in developing and mentoring junior finance staff and support the finance internship program
  • Help foster financial acumen and cost awareness across plant and operations teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent) required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or manufacturing finance
  • Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and capital project accounting
  • Knowledge of GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across levels
  • Experience in a matrixed, global manufacturing organization preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement concepts is advantageous
