About the role
- Support all plant-related GAAP, SOX, and Terumo policy requirements to ensure accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Assist in preparation and review of monthly financial results, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
- Partner with the Plant Controller to lead month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly operational metrics, highlighting key trends and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to quarterly forecast and annual budget cycles for the Littleton and Lakewood facilities
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing cost performance, inventory valuation, and capital spending
- Support internal and external audit requests and ensure adherence to internal control standards
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant and operations leadership teams
- Assist in developing and mentoring junior finance staff and support the finance internship program
- Help foster financial acumen and cost awareness across plant and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent) required
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or manufacturing finance
- Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and capital project accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across levels
- Experience in a matrixed, global manufacturing organization preferred
- Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement concepts is advantageous
