About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage technology projects supporting the IRS's desktop, endpoint, and user-support environments
- Plan, coordinate, deploy, and deliver IT initiatives while maintaining schedule, budget, and organizational alignment
- Serve as primary point of contact between the government and contractor
- Manage contract performance, staffing, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
- Lead project meetings and track project risks, issues, and action items
- Prepare management reports, project-management documents, stakeholder briefings, agendas, and meeting notes
- Ensure smooth transition during implementation, operation, transition-in, steady-state operations, and transition-out
- Provide continuous project management support for User Support programs and projects
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget; gather requirements and use cases
- Maintain work breakdown structures and project schedules
- Maintain alignment with the Tech Ops PPPM initiative
Requirements
What you’ll need- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure or endpoint-management projects
- At least 3 years supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies such as Intune, Windows 11, or Microsoft 365 in large-scale environments
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project schedules, risks, deployments, and operational transitions
- PMP, CAPM, ITIL Foundation, PMI-ACP, or equivalent industry-recognized project-management certification(s)
- Must undergo a High-Risk Background Investigation
- Must complete a 7-panel drug screening
