About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage technology projects supporting the IRS's desktop, endpoint, and user-support environments
Oversee planning, coordination, deployment, and delivery of IT initiatives
Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals
Serve as the primary point of contact between the government and contractor
Manage contract performance, staffing, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
Lead project meetings and track project risks, issues, and action items
Prepare management reports, project-management documents, stakeholder briefings, agendas, and meeting notes
Maintain work breakdown structures and project schedules
Ensure smooth transition during implementation, operation, transition-in, steady-state operations, transition planning, and transition-out activities
Maintain alignment with the Tech Ops PPPM initiative

Requirements

What you’ll need

Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure or endpoint-management projects
At least 3 years supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies such as Intune, Windows 11, or Microsoft 365 in large-scale environments
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project schedules, risks, deployments, and operational transitions
PMP, CAPM, ITIL Foundation, PMI-ACP, or equivalent industry-recognized project-management certification(s)
Must undergo a High-Risk Background Investigation
Must complete a 7-panel drug screening
