About the role
- Support development and implementation of ASME N-Certificate and ASME Owner (OWN) Certificate as defined in ASME BPVC Section III, NCA and Division 5, 2025 Edition.
- Review of customer and regulatory contracts and develop baseline requirements matrix/documents.
- Interface with customer and supplier QA representatives and provide solutions to technical and complex ASME compliance issues.
- Responsible for the review of internal and external design drawings, specifications, test plans/procedures, and other technical documents for QA.
- Evaluate and qualify (audit/CGD) suppliers and partners.
- Plan and perform commercial grade item (CGD) surveys of commercial suppliers.
- Support Engineering with the development and implementation of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) plans.
- Coordinate and host Customer and Regulator audits, surveillances and visits.
- Review and revise QA processes and procedures.
- Plan and perform Supplier and Internal Audits as a certified Lead Auditor (ATL).
- Knowledge and participation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned/Operational Experience and Risk Management processes.
- Review quality affecting procedures (engineering, procurement, document control, records, testing, etc.) to ensure program compliance.
- Review procurement specifications, purchase orders, contracts, task orders and agreements and flow-down applicable quality assurance requirements in Orders/Contracts.
- Review design drawings, specifications, test plans/procedures, and other technical documents for quality assurance requirements using a graded approach to quality when applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field.
- Preferred Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field.
- 20+ years’ experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Quality Assurance function preferred or in a regulated environment such as, EPA, aerospace, etc.
- Current certification as NQA-1 Lead Auditor or other industry recognized certification or the ability to be certified within one year of hire.
- Military experience or prior TerraPower experience is a plus.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
