About the role
- Serve as in-country focal point for identifying and advancing forest-carbon projects
- Work closely with partners and agencies to shape project pipeline
- Coordinate due diligence and feasibility assessments
- Engage stakeholders to ensure technical and commercial viability of projects
- Manage and guide projects from concept to feasibility confirmation
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in program or project management within international development, environment, forestry, or climate-change sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage partnerships involving government agencies, donors, and technical organizations.
- Proven experience coordinating feasibility or early-stage project development processes
- Familiarity with Indonesia’s forest-carbon and land-use policy landscape, including relevant ministries and permitting processes.
- Experience working in or alongside donor-funded programs (e.g., UK PACT, FCDO, ADB, UNDP, GCF).
- Degree in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Forestry, Development Studies, Public Policy, or other relevant field).
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Familiarity with carbon standards (Verra, Gold Standard).
