About the role
- Lead the UX/UI design process for web-based products from ideation to launch, including discovery, research, wireframing, UI design, prototyping, QA, and post-launch iteration.
- Own and facilitate discovery and ideation phases, translating business and user needs into clear design solutions.
- Create and review wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes.
- Ensure smooth design-to-development handoff, working closely with engineers and participating in QA to maintain design quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, user requirements, and design specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and provide feedback to other designers, helping them grow and maintaining a high design standard.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices.
- Communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG AA)
- Proactively report to our internal Project Manager and manage your schedule to ensure all deadlines are met.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (e.g. Senior Designer, UX/UI Lead, or similar) at an agency or established brand.
- A true team player who can work closely with others
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proven track record delivering web projects end-to-end, from early discovery through to final QA and launch.
- Advanced proficiency in UX and UI design tools (e.g. Figma or similar) and Adobe Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies
- Strong English skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to confidently participate in meetings and present work to our internal team and clients.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of how front-end development works (using AI tools is fine, but candidates must understand what they’re building and why).
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Ability to work with distributed teams across different time zones.
- Must have consistent U.S. overlap and be available to work until 2pm ET; occasional flexibility for client or team meetings is expected.
