About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
- Inspect client properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Determine the type of pest infestation
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
- Educate customers on pest prevention and advise them on reducing future infestation risks
- Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
- Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and check pest control equipment
- Follow local, state, and federal pest control and safety regulations
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Clean-shaven face required for respirator seal
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Licenses/certificates required by applicable regulations, covered by the employer
- Available Monday–Friday and weekends as needed
- Willingness to learn all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills to follow product-label mixing instructions
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to wear OSHA-compliant respiratory PPE
