About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for new equipment set-up and commissioning
  • Troubleshooting and repair for the FUCHS product line
  • Create content for, and conduct, PowerPoint classroom training and hands-on demonstrations
  • On-site technical support, installation and service for the FUCHS product line
  • Understand and educate on equipment designs, specifications and equipment requirements
  • Document work and prepare field service reports
  • Escalate equipment quality issues to initiate quality alerts and prevent repeat failures
  • Provide engineering with field performance data and recommended improvements
  • Act as a Fuchs Terex advocate
  • Manage time, skills and resources to maximize work volume with minimal errors
  • Review reported failures and assist Warranty Administrator with claim evaluation
  • Support the Help Desk Technician
  • Assist with the display and simulation of equipment and technical presentation
  • Assist Training Coordinator with the development and presentation of training materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience working knowledge of Electronics, Hydraulics, Engines and Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Passport for international travel (ability to obtain if not currently in possession of one)
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone
  • Ability and willingness to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly
  • Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
