About the role
- Provide product demonstration, customer support/service, provide distributor support, pre-qualify and assist customers with financing, front and rear discharge sales
- Maintain a thorough commercial and technical knowledge of our products
- Continually update personal knowledge of new products, new concepts, product enhancements
- Develop and maintain a complete understanding of competitive products
- Travel a defined sales district and maintain direct contact with and educate existing and potential customers
- Produce or facilitate production of sales order contracts and sales order checklists
- Follow-up with customers and immediately become tactically involved when there is a problem
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 to 7 years experience in the marketing and sale of industrial equipment similar in scope to heavy equipment products
- Knowledge of a technical field
- A degree in engineering, business or marketing (Preferred)
- Knowledgeable of direct sales practices to construction contractors
- Heavy mechanical ability or service background
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office- Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail
