About the role
- At Terabase Energy, developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform for large-scale solar
- Drive sourcing strategy and supplier management across fabricated metals, robotics subsystems, mechanical assemblies, and indirect services
- Translate technical requirements into RFx processes, supplier selection criteria, and total cost of ownership models
- Negotiate supply agreements, manage supplier relationships, and build diversified global supplier networks
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Manufacturing, and Field Operations for make-buy decisions and supply readiness
- Lead supplier performance management with scorecards and quarterly business reviews
- Manage supplier escalations, delivery issues, corrective actions, and logistics coordination
- Support Finance with budgeting, forecasts, and cost savings initiatives
- Integrate risk assessments and strategic insights to ensure scalable, resilient supply chains
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or supply chain operations; ideally in hardware, clean tech, robotics, or industrial sectors
- Demonstrated success negotiating supply agreements, managing complex supplier relationships, and driving category strategy
- Deep understanding of cost drivers, manufacturing processes, and contract structures in custom or engineered-to-order components
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen; able to build models, interpret data, and influence decisions with clarity
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; able to drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus
- Preferred: Experience sourcing for CapEx programs, field deployments, or construction projects
- Preferred: Familiarity with ERP and procurement tools (e.g. NetSuite, Coupa, SAP)
- Preferred: Exposure to solar, clean energy, or infrastructure project supply chains
- Preferred: Global sourcing and low-cost region manufacturing experience
